Q&A with Sonja Stubbs Creative Director of The Goods Co
Tell us about your brand and how The Goods Co started?
My brand started after having stores in Sydney and Noosa for 15 years and deciding it was time to get out of bricks and mortar. I wanted a product that was easy to photograph and post. Handbags had always been a great seller for us in store, and the zip clutch has always been one of my personal favourites as I always have a lot of receipts and other bits to carry around.
Which race day are you looking forward to the most, and how will you celebrate?
My favourite race day of the year is Melbourne Cup, I have a great new frock on pre order coming from Apiece Apart out of New York! I will be spending Melbourne Cup at the Boathouse in Palm Beach Sydney this year.
3 tips for dressing for the races?
My tips for dressing for the races would be to dress for comfort and wear something that celebrates the coming of summer, my favourite time of year.
What will be in your handbag?
I will have one of my fold over clutches for the day containing a tiny bottle of my favourite Hermes perfume, a Nars velvet Matte Lip Pencil, my iPhone, one of our mini clutches with cash and card and of course my winning Melbourne Cup tickets.
