Meet Rochelle Flynn, Owner & Creative Director at 66 The Label.
Tell us a little bit about your brand and how you started?
We both had a vision to create a brand that’s true to our personal style. Designing pieces that have long term wearability, but focusing on our simplistic aesthetic.
What would you wear to the races this year?
We both love the 70's trend that is featuring on this season’s runways. Structured pieces always capture our style. We also like to challenge the day to night look, and may do a wide legged pant to a few events. Sticking to a solid colour ensures that strong accessories, like one of our leather chokers, makes it a standout piece.
What are your 3 tips for dressing for the races?
Always enjoy the season’s trends, but stick to your unique style, and what best suits your shape.
This season’s focus is on accessories. Neckwear is a big trend that can finish off an outfit. Long silk neckties, suede chokers, and leather pieces can create an amazing outfit.
It’s a long day - comfort is a priority.
What will be in your handbag?
Byredo Gypsy Water roll on perfume – a great purse size.
Tom Ford lipstick - 'Sable Smoke' this colour is the perfect nude.
Nail Polish - most likely putting this on while en-route to the event!
YSL correction pen - small and perfect for touch-ups.
Which 66th The Label pieces are a must-have for the 2016 race season?
The Goldie in ONYX - this boater looks amazing with any outfit!
The black twist choker is on point with this season neckwear trends, and is a great statement piece.
What is your favourite race day of the year and what do you usually do?
We love to attend all events; Derby day is a favourite for the black and white bold fashion. Melbourne Cup has to be our top pick. The crowd and atmosphere makes it one of the best events of the year.
